Model History

The RANS S-10 Sakota is a two-seat, side-by- side aerobatic sport aircraft designed by Randy Schlitter of RANS Inc. in the late 1980s. Intended for homebuilding, it features a welded steel frame with fabric covering and is often powered by Rotax engines. The name "Sakota" reflects its dual role as a sports and trainer aircraft. It became popular for its affordability, aerobatic capability, and ease of construction. Though no longer in production, it remains respected among kit builders and sport pilots.
