Model History

The CFM Shadow is a Microlight or Group A aircraft designed in the 1980s in Britain by David Cook. The Shadow is often referred to as being far ahead of its time due to its excellent performance figures, excellent safety record and highly innovative design, featuring groundbreaking use of Fibrelam.

The aircraft was manufactured as a choice of either a fully factory built machine or a home- build kit. 397 Shadows of all variants had been factory built for customers in 40 countries, including 24 Streak Shadows for the Indian Air Force – the world's largest microlight contract. In 1987 pilot Eve Jackson flew Shadow from the UK to Australia. Shadows were produced until 2002.
